History of the Fire Fox Throat Mic: The throat mic was originally developed for fighter pilots. We brought the excitement down out of the skies for the Sportsman and recreational radio user.

What is it for?

The throat mic was designed to keep out all background noises and allow ONLY the voice to be transmitted over the radio. Now you can speak with your companions no matter what the activity.

You may speak quietly to a fishing buddy upstream or keep in touch with hunting companions in rough terrain. For the high speed adventurer - riding a snow machine, dirt bike, mountain bike or snow machine and ATV at 30 MPH - the Fire Fox throat mic allows you to talk and laugh no matter how loud the noise.

The Fire Fox is great for simple family outings. With the radio in a fanny pack or backpack, Mom and Dad can keep watch over the kids and stay in touch with each other in case of an emergency.

The PTT Button can stretch over 6 feet. This allows you to place it on your finger, the handlebars, or anywhere else you desire for safe and easy communication among friends. (Extra PTT Buttons may be purchased as an accessory.)

How it works: The throat mic operates on the vibrations from your vocal cords instead of the air like a normal microphone. The Fire Fox throat mic does not cancel background sound, it simply never picks it up. You can be in the loudest of environments and talk almost at a whisper with perfect clarity.

The Fire Fox Paintball Edition comes standard with a 5 foot remote PTT button, allowing the user to maximize mobility, while practicing invisibility. Paintball Edition: $55.00

The Fire Fox Commando Edition Throat Mic allows a user to communicate using a throat mic while staying discrete with a sound tube instead of a conventional ear bud. Now even with running and jumping through the woods dodging paint, the sound tube will not fall out of the ear. Because of its slimmer design, it fits confortably under any mask. The sound tube can be cut shorter to fit different sized ears. The Commando also includes a Weatherproof PTT for tough outdoor situations. Commando Edition: $75.00
