New Painting Table event, May 5th.

In my experience the very best way to paint is in a group.  Newer painters can ask questions and learn, good painters get to show off a little, you can bounce ideas off each other, and just enjoy the company of those that share this wonderful hobby with you.  In order to allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy group painting, WCG is organizing our first ‘Painting Table’ event!

When: Sunday, May the 5th. 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Entry Fee: None, just bring your stuff and paint with us!

Details: Bring any paints you’ll need, if you don’t have them or can’t bring them we will have some available too.  Bring whatever painting project you have on the go, sit down, and get painting!  We will supply some stations, water cups, paper towel, pallets etc.

New Painters & Kids: Want to learn how to paint, or something new?  Perfect!  We will have staff sitting at the table too, and they’ll be more than happy to teach you what they know.  Other painters will be sure to pipe in with their own advice.  So, while this isn’t an organized seminar event, it will be a great spot to learn, and in some ways even better because you’ll learn tailored to the project you are working on.  We’ll even give you a starting miniature if you’ve never painted before!

  • Hey guys I just wanted to show you how my Rebels come out with the new Contrast paints from Games Workshop ... The thing to remember is that these were for the most part painted in one evening, except for the weapons which I did the next day and the basing which was done on Sunday! I wish that I had taken more pics but I think you get the idea, put down a good coat of primer, paint on Contrast paint, repeat with a new colour ... base them and call it done! I just have to put a second coat on the black around the bases to finish them off ... I'm looking forward to doing up my Stormtroopers next!
